I'll brute merge the 1.6 branch on master asap, just in case.

And start by applying rename commits and readme fixes first. Then, I'll have a go at a few items I can do myself, and present this to OGA and the others.

Thanks to the Liberated Pixel Cup, a lot of free (CC by/CC by SA 3.0) graphics have been made available in a style that fits well the free replacement we're currently working on achieving. The minimalistic and clean style of Zelda graphics even makes this easier! ^ Is that ok for you? I wanted this request be more fun than technical for obvious reasons. Technical stuff can come early enough for people interested. Can I add our email address? Do you prefer getting feedback primarily from people (I would let your email only n that case)? (I'll post this on Free Game dev so people will be able to answer there.)
