Update root dependencies

Description

While looking into jest-related issues I've noticed that the test examples no longer ran. It seems we were a little behind with dependencies, so I've updated the relevant ones. I also applied the lint changes that popped out after the upgrades.

I may have also deleted yarn.lock due to some random js errors and it helped, but uhh, well... 3,536 additions and 5,615 deletions.

Test plan

Verify that the Example apps work correctly.
