Long cstranslate runtimes

When trying to build an HHBlits database from linclust output of 250mio clusters over 0.5bn sequences, cstranslate_mpi runs for a few days and does not produce an output

Your Environment

  • cstranslate_mpi version 2.2.26
  • Linux 3.10.0-957.1.3.el7.x86_64
  • AVX2 and SSE supported
  • 80 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2698 v4 @ 2.20GHz
  • 0.5 Tb RAM

Hey, sorry, I have moved on to something else at the moment. Will keep this in mind next time I need to build a large database for HHBlits search.
