Need Help With Admin access

Hi, I am trying to contact to your customer support, but nobody is answering to me. Please let me know do you support this project? Thanks

Hello,

This is one of the issues that we'd likely to be looking into once our installation is running. So far, there is only a simple create an account and use the account. We have not seen an admin role helping to manage the accounts.

We are just using socioboard internally for our own team.

The main thing that I want to be able to do it make sure that all member of my teams(we will have two sepearate teams) have access to the same information. I do not want each person to be in a silo.

Can Socioboard do this?

I want to follow up with this issue of user management.

If I understand correctly, the socioboard has no user management built in? I hope I am wrong.

We are a small group and want our teams to work together. aMember is overkill for our simple needs.

What other options are available to allow is to manage users and teams on Socioboard?

The devs probably still use aMember in development. I wouldn't want to break their current workflow but I would like to be able to run in production mode without aMember. My suggestion would be to add a key to the config json to the effect of enabled: "false" under aMember.

Hi Vaughn

We had the same issue and amember is required to move forward. There seems to be no way to manage admin and users with out amember.

When installed, we have a user that expired after 1 week(same as the free version on their commercial site).

We put things on hold since there was no move forward with our amember. As you point out, amember is hard coded into the software and there are no built in admin or user tools.

Ideas?

@smokinjo Yes I am working on it, I've found the relevant code and am working on an aMember disabled alternative. Something that would involve signing up from the frontend and activating the user manually(or via email if you have that set up). I'm trying to keep aMember functionality as well as to not disturb the existing project too much.

I have the solution, will add to the Docker docs soon then update the other docs later (pm2 run command in the docs is also wrong).

Please see Docker.README.md for information about adminstration, a PR is open regarding administration. If all is well this issue can be closed.
