[Question] THREDDS Server with Time Series

Sorry in advance if this has been answered before. I'm trying to use Time Dimension with data from a variety of different servers, most of which I know are Thredds Servers one of which is specifically the Unidata/UCAR servers. However, when I've tried to add and implement a Time Series graph like in Example 13 I am not getting anything reported back to me when I test it and there is not even an additional area produced under the map for the time series.

First off is that last part normal behaviour in that if it cannot produce a time series it won't produce the graph necessary for it? Secondly, I don't know if anyone has experienced this issue themselves but does the Time Series addition require something other than just getting the data from a THREDDS server? I ask as I would assume that the Unidata/UCAR one would be up to date and I would like to not go down the rabbit hole of setting up my own local THREDDS server. Thank you in advance for any help.
