Consider MLS!

It would be really nice if the End-to-end encryption on Mastodon could use the upcoming MLS standard (https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/mls/about/)

It's definitely being considered, but I'm not at that stage yet. :)

I'm not quite at the point to revisit this part of the overall design. My focus has been on getting trustworthy public keys.

MLS and MIMI are cool projects, and likely what I will use as a basis for the final design.
