windows7 transparency problem

It's 2021, why are you on Windows 7 still?

tried to locate the problem, but I do not have a PC with win7 to test you can compile my latest code in repo to see if it is fixed

there may be 2 reasons:

  1. win7 cannot enable both alpha and colorkey for layered window
  2. pure black/white cannot be used as colorkey for layered window

but I do not have a Win7 to check which is true
