Hi snwh,

Can we assume that you will no longer update the paper theme?

Unfortunately, yes.

Changes to GTK a year or so ago essentially required an entire rewrite of the theme, and I couldn't be bothered to (and didn't have the time to) do it. Not to mention the maintenance work of supporting all the GTK versions across distros and the snowballing of bugs for all those versions made the whole task of writing themes not enjoyable.

I much prefer designing icons than being immersed in writing/debugging GTK-CSS, so about a year ago I decided to focus on that. There are a lot of folks more suited to writing GTK themes and there are a lot of themes better than Paper.

Thanks for the effort! Hopefully there is somebody who'd like to become a maintainer... Do you know of any themes that have the same philosophy as paper-theme?
