Snppts Project Status

As some might have noticed, the project website is down (again).

There is a "fun" backstory here. Part of the examples we have on here are clones from existing apps. One of these clones used the real logo of the app they had implemented in Xamarin/MAUI. This clone has been online for 4-5 years, but now out of nowhere the copyright owner noticed one day, and issued a takedown to my provider. Without any warning this was forwarded to my hoster and they just brought down the website.

The hoster in this case being Microsoft Azure and they didn't just bring down this website, but my whole Azure subscription. And it took me 2-3 months to get it back online. So as you might imagine, that is not something I want to experience again. To be clear: I do not blame Microsoft nor Azure, I'm sure they are just following procedure and probably even the law by doing this. But still, I don't want to lose access to my Azure subscription over this innocent project 😄

As such, the content will continue to be available here on this GitHub repository and I'm happy to think about ways we can turn this into a more usable format for people, but I'm not going to bring this back in the way it was.

Thank you everyone for being such loyal fans over almost a decade and now reaching out what has happened and all the kind messages that you are still using this for inspiration. That is really magical ✨
