Sounds strange -maybe "gate" is a reserved word for Siri? I only use Garage Door devices as physical doors, and those work pretty good in iOS14.4

Not that I know of. But I wasn't aware of the config-ui plugin, either.

I created an issue at https://github.com/oznu/homebridge-config-ui-x/issues/541 and hope for feedback. But as homebridge-knx has so few stars they might consider that of not worth the effort.
