How can we help?

I have made some templates in the custom asset report section but would like these avaialble to all admin members of the platform please. Is this possible?

Thanks!

@snipe we intentionally scoped custom asset report templates to the creator for the first pass and knew we would be adding shared templates in the future.

HI @JoshJames04,

I'm thinking that having the Reports: View (or admin/super user) permissions would be the ones that would be able to see the "shared" templates.

Would that work for your use-case?

@marcusmoore I know you did, just saying I warned you this was going to come up ;)

I’d think marking a saved report as “shared” would be enough, since you can’t see that page at all without report view permission.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking 😄

This is along the lines of what I was thinking.

Looking at our current role setup, it's basically how I'd want it. Changing the roles to suit here would be less convenient than marking a report as shared.

Sorry @marcusmoore

Thanks guys!

No worries and sounds good 👍🏾

@snipe says - if the template name is private, made by you, it only needs to be unique for you. But if it's made by you and public - it needs to be unique in the public namespace.
