Admin not getting emailed after Checkin/Checkout Assets to users

Debug mode

Describe the bug

  • I have checked (enabled) the email notification from category.
  • I entered the admin email address and the cc email to notify.
  • I tried the "Test email" button and I received the test email successfully.
  • When I checkin or checkout an assets to me (I am the admin) I receive an email with this, but when I checkin or checkout an assets to another users I do not get notified.

  1. Local host - XAMPP server

The admin should be notified with any checkin/checkout assets to any user.

I am seeing this exact behavior on Windows IIS running on Server 2019.

  • Test email sent from GUI is sent and received
  • User which was assigned asset receives the email notification on checkout and check-in
  • Admin assigned under Notification Setting > Alerts > CC Email receives no email

We have a user assigned in AD solely for this purpose. It has its own mailbox in Office 365.

If I sign in and view that mailbox, the test emails appear in the inbox. The emails sent for checkout and check-in appear in the sent items.

However, the CC address for the emails isn't being included. The email is ONLY being sent to the end user. The CC email is not being sent at all.

Snipe-IT Version Version v7.0.13 - build 15514 (master)

PHP Version 8.3.12

Hi there - I know this is a pretty old issue, but I wanted to check and see if you ever got this resolved? If so, can you please close the ticket? If not, can you update us on what version of Snipe-IT you're currently using, so we can see if it's still an issue on latest?

I'm not OP, but I did have the issue and commented here.

This issue appears to be resolved. Our admin email does now receive the CC email upon device check-in or check-out.
