Importer - Asset Notes and Purchase Date failing to import

Open bmill23 opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Debug mode

Describe the bug

Hey! Trying to import some assets, the Purchase Date and Notes dont import. I have tried changing the "notes" field in the Sample Assets CSV to "Asset Notes" and it still doesnt import. The Purchase Date, i have tried multiple formats, including the suggested YYYY-MM-DD with no luck. It defaults to the default "1970" date. All fields are getting recognised on the importer page. This is a fresh build, on the latest version (v6.2.3 - build 11936 (master)) Only errors in debug mode are pasted below. i did increase the limit of my php.ini but the errors still occuring

Reproduction steps

1.Download Sample Assets CSV 2.Remove Samples and fill out appropriate asset information. Change "Notes" field to "Asset Notes" 3.Save csv 4. Upload to importer, tick "Update existing Assets". 5. Check that importer is seeing correct data 6. Click import 7. Check new assets for Notes or purchase date ...

Expected behavior

Asset notes and purchase dates are imported

👋 Thanks for opening your first issue here! If you're reporting a 🐞 bug, please make sure you include steps to reproduce it. We get a lot of issues on this repo, so please be patient and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

@bmill23 can you provide an example of your csv file that contains the exact fields you tried to import? The data can be fake, but we need to know exactly what fields you had in your file? Did you check to see if there might have been extra lines in your file (at the end of the file)? That could cause problems. We are trying to figure out what happened here, since we have not been able to reproduce the issue, when all the information is entered correctly and ALL required fields are in the file. The only time we were able to reproduce was when required fields were left blank or not included, or if there were any extra blank lines at the end of the file. Thanks

Has anyone figured out how to resolve this as yet? I am also facing the same issue
