Checkout bulk number of licence seats to asset

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

If I have to assign licences in the case of MS Windows Server running on an ESXi host, a certain number of Core CAL must be assigned depending on the equipment of the host (number of CPU / number of Core). In the following example: Host (1 x Cpu # 24 Cores) > Basic licence 24 Cores Number of VM Windows Server > Required Core Licence 1 x CPU [ 24 Cores ] / req. lic 24 / 2 VM rights [MS Windows Server STD] Windows Server STD qty 01 > 24 Core Lic Windows Server STD qty 02 > 24 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 03 > 48 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 04 > 48 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 05 > 72 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 06 > 72 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 07 > 96 Core Additional LIC Windows Server STD qty 08 > 96 Core Additional LIC...

Based on the above example, if on a host running five Windows Server I've to deploy 72 seats. However, the current status only allows me to checkout one seat at a time, which means in the above case that I have to checkou 72 x licences to an asset, which is of course very time-consuming and not expedient in this context. There should be a possibility to assign a certain number of licences to an asset. I currently solve this by compiling and allocating licence packages, but this is not particularly satisfactory, because it is hard to monitor them. Furthermore, you cannot assign more licences than are available. Suppose as in the case above. I have an SA contract where I do an annual inventory of existing licences and the number of licences needed. Example: Office LTS avaible 50pcs LIC in year >=06.2022 > Checked Out till 06.2023 40pcs LIC # 10 pos. lic so to 40 in >06.2023 Office LTS avaible 40pcs LIC in year >= 06.2023 > Checked Out till 06.2024 60pcs LIC # 20 neg. lic so increase to 60 in >06.2024 If no neg. lic is possible, I cannot check out .. so I cannot monitor if I have too many or less, so negative qty of deployed lic. seats should be possible (or I do not know how)

Describe the solution you'd like

  1. Bulk check out of a defined number of seats to a User/Asset/Location should be possible
  2. Negativ qty of lic should be possible, meaning check out of licence if not avaible > negative number of lic

Describe alternatives you've considered

I second this request. We have hundreds of Windows Server User CAL's that we track and it is very tedious to have to assign each license to the same device hundreds of times. The bulk check-in and check-out tool doesn't seem to do what we need it to at this point. Is something in the works for developing this feature?
