Automatically rename folders according to README.md or index.md title

Open xplosionmind opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

It would be great to provide an option that enables using this plugin to rename folders, too.

Such renaming could simply occur by renaming the folder according to the title of its README.md or index.md file (or, alternatively, the user could choose a custom file)

I will come back to this request when other tasks are completed.

Yea, I do not have a lot of free time, sorry. But I will try to realize such function soon.

Sorry. I has been an year. But I want to check if it is actual or it should be closed.

I would really like this! It would be very useful for book-writing.

UPDATE: the folder note plugin by Lost Paul has explicit integration with this plugin to make this happen. Was a bit buggy for me (some of the settings conflict, so be careful about changing settings from the factory settings) but works exactly as I wanted.

Might be a good idea to recommend that plugin in the README if this is a common use case.
