Possible audio issues with replay

Open FitzRoyX opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Describe your bug here. And how to reproduce it.

There seem to be some audio bugs when replaying the included saves. If you replay slot 261 without turbo, you'll hear a droning horn at very start that goes away after a bit. If you replay slot 262 up to the boss fight, you'll hear the crystal drop effect sounding pretty wrong.

If this is normal and the result of some apu improvements that slightly broke these older saves, lmk and close this out.

What is your build target?

Windows

One more thing to add if it helps. Notice that the crystal is spinning at 2x the speed as normal during replay even though turbo has been toggled off. As soon as I hit L to take control, the crystal spin rate becomes what it should be.

The reason why the crystal spins with the wrong speed is because of a bug that I fixed after I made the snapshots. I can hear the weird sounds too, could be an APU bug that I've fixed already... Don't know

That's kind of what I thought it would be. At some point we can re-rerecord a playthrough. Unless it's somehow possible to strip the recorded inputs of the existing savestates and use them to automate a new playthrough.
