Status: Chrome is now migrated to manifest v3, Firefox is still on v2. Same codebase, different manifest files.
Fixed in #267 !
Interesting workaround in https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/12915#issuecomment-1270785453. This error happens if you're already logged into the Mastodon instance, but if you're not logged in when you start the OAuth dance, it works fine....
