Examples not persistent

Hello, when I try to run build/examples/simple/simple and the more complex vacation example no data is persisted. I am working with simulated PM in /dev/shm. Each time I start the example a new file called 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, etc. is created but the existing one is not reused.
