While a fix for this problem is investigated, be aware that ink is known to work with Vite, see : https://github.com/floriancargoet/vite-plugin-ink

At what point of the story did you save ?

Saving the state while the callstack is still in execution is probably why it's failing. Have you considered using a tag instead, that would trigger the save _after_ the `continue`...
