`espanso edit` opens `espanso/match/base.yml` with whichever program is designated the _system default_ editor. For some, that will be Notepad, but many of us configure our systems to use different editors....

Confirmed here, same Linux, Xfce. It's fine in the Element web interface. Fractal must be interfering with Espanso picking up the keys, but I also find it does trigger `#detect#`...

@joh6nn's suggestion would require an `espanso package install` command on each machine.

There's a recent [commit](https://github.com/espanso/espanso/commit/c219b56d45295200fed88546a20ed152fa14d5d0) that limits form sizes, but no way of increasing them beyond the technique mentioned in the [docs](https://espanso.org/docs/matches/forms/#form-sizes).

You're welcome. If you've been using Espanso for a while, it wasn't in the docs when you first read them - we only worked this out a couple of months...
