Craft 3 update

Is there coming update to craft 3 for this nice plugin?

Hi, Focus point will now be native in the new Craft 3. But I will try to see how I can migrate the data from this plugin from Craft 2 to Craft 3 native implementation.

The main difference is that in Craft 3, the FocalPoint is saved with the actual Asset, where as with FocusPoint, it's saved in the field.

So I'm not entirely sure how you'd migrate the data.

I'm also wondering there has been any development on a migration path from this plugin to the Craft 3 native implementation?

I'm working on a legacy Craft 2 site which will take some time to update to Craft 3, and in the short-term the client has asked for focus point functionality and I'm not sure if this plugin would be a dead-end.

Has there been any progress with this? specifically a way to migrate data to the native C3 implementation of focal points.

I took a quick stab at scripting a migration for FocusPoint data: https://github.com/ad-dc/focalpoint_migration. Please note the caveats and proceed at your own risk.
