Roman Converter octave recognition
The Roman Converter does not take the octave into account when analysing the degrees that make up the chord. For example, there is no distinction between degree '2'
and degree '9'
, which are used indistinctly.
It should be investigated whether from a musicological point of view it would be more correct/elegant to use one degree rather than another, especially for doubled degrees such as '9', '11', '13'.
However, the semantics of the converted chords is sound.
