Is there any forecast on porting cura v5.0 on cura master? Thanks
Hi, at this time, I have no plans to merge Cura 5. It's a huge amount of work and I don't think it is compatible with the ARM builds I currently produce. Even if I change my mind, I wouldn't consider looking at doing that until UM have made a few releases as it's likely to be pretty buggy for some time yet.
Thank you for the update. Looking at the supported platforms for QT6 it should still be compatible with ARM. I also agree to wait until the new version is really stable. Maybe it would be simpler to add the extra features on a clean state of the new version. By the way, I was looking for the code of your version, but this repository doesn't seem to be updated for a long time. Is there any place where I can find it? Thank you.
Sure QT6 is likely to be ARM compatible but how UM are now building Cura using pre-compiled images of PyQT6 may not work for the Pi builds. I haven't looked at it in detail.
All of my mods are on the mb-master branches. Most of the work I have done is in the CuraEngine repo and not here.

Please change your mind. Sure I'm not the only one really in need for Arachne, and missing the features you added. Have been updating each and every time you commited. Became a OCD, looking for updates every evening..
Didn't experience deal breaker bugs with Cura 5 so far, if any (homebrew CAD files only, hence some control) ; Arachne was a game changer. No more need for designing while thinking nozzle and wall widths, using 0.3, 0.4, up to 1.2 ! It was a pain.

I was using this solely version until Arachne come out. Since then I keep installed both this version for freedom and stability and official Cura 5.x for Arachne projects. I would be very happy to see @smartavionics features ported into cura 5.0, but I also understand that it is not an easy task. Please keep us updated if there is any news on this subject.
