Open danntran opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Recreated 1124.json for Broadlink into ESPHome.

Named the file 7124.json to keep with convention.

Tested OK.

Hello, can you tell me how you learned the commands? You convert broadlink or how?

Hi mSapik, I used ESPHome with IR receiver to find the Raw codes from my Mitsubishi AC and used the data to confirm the protocol as set here: https://www.analysir.com/blog/2015/01/06/reverse-engineering-mitsubishi-ac-infrared-protocol/.

There were some differences between that protocol and the one I shared, mainly to do with vane movement. analysir's protocol does not contain horizontal movement and Fan Only, possibly because older models do not contain those features. Byte 8's least significant nibble contains the data for horizontal vane movement which SmartIR cannot control, so this was left as "AUTO". Byte 10, 11, 12, 13 are all 0x00 as it is only used for clock.
