Keep sub-page when navigating to latest version of a webpage

Context

Often when I google a specific Mutiny related issue I end up in a webpage that's not showing the latest version. When I then click Click here to go to latest I always get to the index page of the latest version.

Description

Would it be possible to make sure that clicking on the Click here to go to latest link keeps the sub-page (if existent) to ensure a smoother transition from a webpage for an old version to the latest?

For example if I navigate to https://smallrye.io/smallrye-mutiny/2.5.6/guides/polling/ and click Click here to go to latest I end up at https://smallrye.io/smallrye-mutiny/latest/, but I want to end up at https://smallrye.io/smallrye-mutiny/latest/guides/polling/.
