Sdrplay rsp_tcp extended Mode

Hi, was just testing svxlink with an sdrplay as a receiver using the rtl_tcp equivalent rsp_tcp as IQ Server. Seems to work fine for now. Unlike the cheap RTL SDR's, the sdrplay has a 14bit ADC, which is downgraded to 8bit in rtl_tcp compatibility Mode.

There is an extended Mode which can be enabled to use the full 14bit ADC, but the client (svx in this case) has to support it. Would it be complicated to implement 14 bit IQ Streams for rtl_tcp mode?
