slint Clicking element in VS Code doesn't select it in preview like in SlintPad

When clicking an element in code, it should be selected in the preview. This is the behavior in SlintPad.

Thank you for all your bug reports. They are a huge help. I think I did not say so before :-)

This one is interesting: That definitely works for me in master and in release/1. Which version are you using here? I assume 1.8.0, which should be release/1 at this time.

VS Code extension and slint crate in Rust project are both on v1.8.0. But with the nightly extension (and unchanged Rust crate version), it also doesn't work.

I also cannot reproduce this. The selection (blue rectangle) does update for me when i move my cursor in vscode

Maybe it is something OS specific? I tested on Linux and Olivier usually is on Linux as well. What are you using?

I just tried again: Still no luck. It works absolutely reliably for me in 1.8.0 and master :-/

I'll leave this open till after 1.9 and close it if the upgrade fixes it for you.

I still can not reproduce and did not hear back about the issue with Slint 1.9 or later, so I'll close it for now.

Please reopen the issue if this still is a problem for you.
