Configure Sound card for SafeEyes

Open ComputingFroggy opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

A couple of weeks ago SafeEyes turned mute: there's no sound any more when a pause is coming. At the same time, I had troubles with other programs (Firefox etc) using the wrong sound card ... hence being mute as well. I've managed to restore the sound on theses program because when they run, I can use pavu program to set the sound card used by the program. However a SafeEyes pause starts there's no way to configure the sound card using pavu. So it would be nice to add a Test button on the "Sound alert" plugin, so one could run pavu at the same time to set the correct sound card.

In the mean time, if you know a way to set the sound card for SafeEyes, I would be grateful.

Same issue. PopOS No audible alert from SafeEyes. It was working fine when I was using Manjaro. Switched to Pop Os and no audible alert.

I'm also not getting sounds anymore, but this was only after the update that I just got. I'm on Arch.
