Reading from multicast stream

The following

/usr/local/bin/samplicate -s 239.168.100.7 -p 5000 127.0.0.1/50405 127.0.0.1/50406

Doesn't work for me. 239.168.100.7:5000 is a multicast stream that I can read with VLC, etc. However samplicate doesn't seem to join the multicast group.
