hidden command keys for screenshots and hiding - need exposure

Open mima-mima opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

it appears that control-command-option hides and shows Helium, and that command-option takes screenshots of Helium windows.

I can't find where this is documented nor where I can turn this off. The control-command-option is getting in the way of other shortcuts in other applications, and I'm populating my desktop with Helium screenshots all the time. Since these aren't things that show in the menus I can't use Keyboard system prefs to change these.

Typical user interface behavior would not have any shortcut actions from JUST modifier keys - particularly when the app doesn't even have focus.

It's making me feel a bit like I've lost my mind, but it seems these are Helium specific even though I can't find them, and not the fault of some other utility I'm inadvertently running. I've done everything short of running on another bare and factory fresh Mac and user to validate this. Hoping this is not my own [embarrassing] mistake.

I am running Helium 3 build 7227 (20200328.195859) on macOS 11.1 (20C69) on M1 hardware.

I have the same behavior, but I rather like this hidden feature - perhaps best to make it optional (and perhaps not make it based only on modifier keys)?

This was changed to CMND-Y for one OPTN+CMND-Y for all.

Please note He3 via app store is where all updates go.
