Not getting any notifications

I thought it was the same for everyone but I haven't seen this issue being mentioned anywhere, so it's got to be just me. The thing is, I'm not getting any notifications from OctoDroid at all. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever seen an OctoDroid notification. I expect to get a notification every time someone sends a message in a thread I'm participating in.

Notifications are enabled in both OctoDroid and Android settings and I set it to sync every 6 hours. Optimizing battery use is enabled but background restriction isn't. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Stock Android 10, OctoDroid v.4.6.7

I am having the exact same issue.

i am using lineageos 19.1 on a pixel 5. it just never notifies me at all. notifications on in app with 6 hour interval and notifications on in android too. octodroid 4.6.8.
