Japanese text on C64 VIC Control

I have come into a problem. I initially started the program and i had the japanese kernal rom selected by mistake. This meant the C64 VIC Control was displaying Japanese text on the buttons

I closed the program, deleted all the roms except for the following

$ cksum * 2760143555 8192 basic 939379741 4096 chargen 2727100176 16384 dos1541 4221334473 16384 dos1541ii 497873489 8192 kernal

I deleted the /users//AppData/Local/Retrodebugger folder and fired up the program again The C64 VIC Control now looked normal - English text. I closed the program I restarted the program and it had reverted back to the Japanese text. I can't seem to get rid of the Japanese text

I would like to make a suggestion that the VIC Control buttons language should not be dictated by whatever ROMS are selected as it appears to be the only window that does this - all the other ones are in English irrespective of the ROMS I pick
