Mobile interaction for combobox&select

I am missing the vision for mobile use of the combobox and select. Currently, it opens the same way on mobile as in web, but in my eyes this is a strange interaction (combining a dropdown with an opened keyboard will likely result in some strange situations).

Needs to be researched more thoroughly, but an example I found from Airbnb handles it the following way:

In my eyes, this can be optimized by adding a search field at the top of the bottom sheet, so a user can open the keyboard explicitely, start searching, close the keyboard and continue scrolling the list.

I am designing a mobile first calendar (Agenda) and need the functionality of selecting from a long list. In web I would solve this with a combobox, so that got me wondering what the alternative for mobile would be
