Display text in gopher menus (at least for directories) gets stripped

If someone uses leading padding as display text (start display text with a bunch of spaces) the spaces seemingly get stripped so there are no longer leading spaces in the display text of a gopher item (I have only confirmed this kinda with gopher item type 1).
