opening a link in a background tab does not mark it a read in the feed sidebar

this happens regardless of if you used middle-click or the context menu, and also happens when opening the link directly from the sidebar, as well as opening it from a different site.

it also seems like if you visit a page and then later subscribe to a feed containing it, it does not get marked as read.

the root of this seems to be that read/visited is kept track of seperatly, i guess to make "mark all as read" not spam your history?
