Skydive on Kubernetes with calico
Hi!
I'm using Kubernetes and There are one master and two walker nodes.
And I installed calico as CNI.
When I sent an icmp message between two pods in the cluster using Generate function, I found that the message was not delivered properly.
Later, I changed the mac address on the destination to "ee:ee:ee:ee:ee:ee" manually. I thought that this would be happened because the calico is L3 switch. After that, I checked that the packet was delivered properly.
Is there a way to set skydive to specify that I use calico when using Skydive kubernetes?
In minikube, It looks possible.
If there is no such thing, it seems good to add some configurations.
Minikube or OpenShift would use OpenVSwitch. Whose database is mounted into the skydive-agent DaemonSet Pods. I don't see anything hinting that Skydive would have support for Calico, or any other SDN. I seel Flannel has been requested: https://github.com/skydive-project/skydive/issues/1048 I don't see Weave, which is another commonly used implementaiton.
That's a shame. Having it deployed on Kubernetes, I don't see anything but nodes in the console. It's pretty much useless. Though I kinda remember Skydive being pretty nice on OKD. Any plan to support more SDNs?
