Do the tests provide any additional confidence?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Currently we have a test suit for our mixins and functions. It's not currently up to date with all our tools and I'm not sure it brings much benefit at present.

Describe the solution you'd like Potentially removing the tests but at a minimum re-evaluating which give us an advantage. Look at alternatives which are cleaner, easier to maintain and give more confidence.

Describe alternatives you've considered Only deletion but worth spiking/researching.

When changing up the gradient mixins and gradients, the tests gave me some level of confidence that I hadn't regressed anything. We should make a call to actively support them and increase coverage, or else ditch them entirely; having something that may or may not catch issues is not helpful.
