Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?

• I had taste of contributing to open source in 2020 and wanted to continue contributing
• sktime is well organised project, so I could learn good practice from them
• mentorship would allow me to learn directly from others, which can speed up my learning and allow me to learn things I would otherwise never learn or notice by myself
• learn about time series. I previously had minimal knowledge of them

What are your learning goals?

• Learn more about software engineering in python and gain more experience working on medium sized codebase
• Learn about time series
• (As a result of mentorship), Patch up my theoretical knowledge on statistics and machine learning

What's next for you after the mentorship program?

• continue to contribute to sktime
• continue to improve my theoretical knowledge in statistics and machine learning
• start a job soon, hopefully!
