Proposal to Store Apebase Off-Chain Data with NFT.Storage
Hi,
I’m reaching out with a proposal that could enhance the resilience and accessibility of Apebase’s off-chain data. While IPFS is an incredible tool for decentralized content addressing, it’s important to note that IPFS alone is not permanent. Files remain available only as long as they are "pinned" by active nodes, and without ongoing pinning, access to this data can be lost.
This is where NFT.Storage, a public good, can provide a critical advantage. By storing your off-chain data with NFT.Storage, you get:
- Long-term Decentralized Storage — Your files are preserved on the Filecoin network with endowment-backed storage, aiming to ensure they remain accessible long-term.
- IPFS Availability — Your files remain available across the ipfs.io gateway, while also being backed by Filecoin’s decentralized, verifiable storage network.
- Verifiability & Security — Content is content-addressed, so the integrity and authenticity of your data are always guaranteed.
- With NFT.Storage, you wouldn't have to worry about running an IPFS node or relying on GitHub to store large datasets. Instead, you’d have a fully decentralized, verifiable, and long-term storage solution for all 10,000 Bored Ape IPFS files and metadata.
And it's all for a low one-time fee of $2.99/GB.
I’d love to discuss this further if it sounds interesting. Let me know if you’d like to hop on a call, or I’m happy to provide more details if needed. Here's my calendly: https://calendly.com/elizabeth_griffiths
