Notes from our paper reading sessions

#+TITLE:paper-reading [[https://github.com/Vernacular-ai/paper-reading/actions][file:https://github.com/Vernacular-ai/paper-reading/workflows/Website%20Updates/badge.svg]]

List of papers we cover during our weekly paper reading session. Accessible [[https://backyard.vernacular.ai/paper-reading/][here]]. For a pool of papers, go [[./library/][here]].

** Setting up For building you will need [[https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/][Emacs]] and [[https://github.com/cask/cask][cask]]. Once installed, do =cask install= in this directory for installing dependencies.

The html files are generated based on the content in =index.org=. For adding a reading, update the org file under a date heading (the format matters as we use it to generate atom feeds) and do a =make=. Generated files are kept in =./docs/=.

Only the main =make= step is sufficient for the github url (https://vernacular-ai.github.io/paper-reading) to work. For deploying to s3 (served at the https://backyard.vernacular.ai/paper-reading url), do =make deploy=. Notice that you need to be logged in =aws= cli for this. You might also have to do cache invalidation in cloudfront to make the updates go out quickly.
