"It is compliciated." Both 后 and 後 are valid traditional Chinese, albeit with different meaning:

• 后: Queen, Empress; surname Hou (and was also used for meaning 後 (after) in some ancient literature)
• 後: After, behind, ...

I agree with @anthonyfok because this is a commonly found character, so it's best beginners learn it correctly.
