Can't play audio/x-wav files on iphone

For some reason I am not able to play back files with a content type of audio/x-wav on the iphone safari browser. I was curious if you have run into this issue and if it has anything to do with headers that are being set.

I am serving them from apache/passenger.

Most probably because of the byte range request. In my case, I wasn't able to play a movie file (mp4) on iPhone.
