@not-matt this changes looks good, however you are missing the Changeset per the contribution requirements. See the original post above for the checklist and details on how to add this. This should be considered a patch or the core package. Once that's in place I'm happy to merge.
Note that one or CI checks is failing. This a separate and unrelated issue that I will aim to resolve. Please disregard.
@not-matt sorry for the delay on this one, I've been terribly busy outside the project lately. I've gone ahead and taken the liberty to append the changeset myself. With that we should be able to merge this. Expect a quick turn around on the release itself.
