Posts marked as read keep reappearing in search

Hi folks! Quite sure any error I'm experiencing here is coming from somewhere between the keyboard and the chair– hoping someone may have some hints to help.

What I'm seeing:

• Mark posts as read
• Save db and/or exit
• Open db at later time
  • posts previously marked as read now marked as unread (and coming up in search view)

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

how did you "save db"? did you call elfeed-db-unload?
