Bug: truncated borders when setting image later

This is what I get for this code:

    final CircularImageView imageView = (CircularImageView) findViewById(R.id.image);
    new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable() {
        @Override
        public void run() {
            imageView.setBorderWidth(4);
            imageView.setBorderColor(0xff000000);
            imageView.setImageResource(R.drawable.landscape);
        }
