Dropdown menu not showing after the value is cleared in six-select with virtual-scroll and autocomplete

Steps to reproduce

• go to virtually scrolled autocomplete
• select a value
• click clear icon
• start typing

What is expected?

After clicking the clear icon, the dropdown menu should open to show the available options. When the user starts typing, they should see the options narrowing down.

What is actually happening?

After the clear icon is clicked, the input gains focus, but the dropdown menu remains hidden. When the user is typing, the menu continues to stay hidden. Only after a second click in the input field the dropdown appears.
