Image previews not available on Pikapods
Despite image previews being enabled in the settings, and rebooting the app, the previews don't appear. Is there a way to fix this in Pikapods?
I just gave it a try and it seems to work fine in general (e.g. for this URL: https://zulip.org/). If you had a lot of bookmarks before enabling the feature it might take a while for them to show up. Likewise, after adding a bookmark, preview images don't show up immediately as they are loaded in the background. You can check the admin area to see if there are still pending background tasks. Apart from that for some websites linkding will not be able to detect a preview image and the logic for that is very basic ATM (see https://github.com/sissbruecker/linkding/issues/773).
I uploaded about 13k bookmarks from Pocket 2 weeks ago. None of the links have previews that I can tell, but I haven’t looked at all of them, just randomly checked.
- I bookmarked the Zulip site you provided but it also doesn’t show any preview.
- I double-checked the General settings and “Enable Preview Image” box is checked.
- Admin settings show the attached “Queued tasks” i.e. load_preview_image_task. Does this mean they are pending and for how long?
