Higher fan RPM

I have a MBP Late 2011 with fans that can reach 7500 RPM I would much prefer to use this over smcfancontrol. would it be to much to ask for a version of this that goes as high as 8000 RPM. I tried to do it my self but I could not get xcode to compile the my forked version, kept complaining about a missing 10.5 SDK.
