What will happen to the library after Reddit's recent announcement?
Reddit said that they're gonna make API access paid iirc, not sure if that will affect this library in any way.
It's a shit move, to be sure. I can't believe how myopic Reddit's leadership is being here. They're essentially daring their users to leave, which they ultimately will, leaving them with considerably less revenue than projected and a disgruntled former user base.
I doubt any changes to the library will be needed, aside from handling the new rejection responses. But in the long-term, usage of all Reddit libraries, including this one, will likely plummet.
It is also worth noting that, despite Reddit's claims of working closely with third-party developers, they have yet to contact me or anyone else associated with Reddit.NET about this. Not so much as a word from them. Just deafening silence.
I wish I could offer more info, but since Reddit is apparently keeping library developers in the dark about this, despite their public claims to the contrary, all I can do is wait with the rest of you and hope in vain they don't fuck things up too much.
