Start Page completely fails to render

Steps to Reproduce and Observed Behavior

  1. Launch SLADE
  2. The Start Page tab is blank. In the console, when the start page is opened from the "View" menu, Warning: Action "main_showstartpage" not handled is logged.

Expected Behavior

I expect the start page to contain content.

It’s not just linux, it might be different but i’m on windows and something similar happens. what are your specs? I am wondering if its some sort of hardware related issue. My findings is that its not that its blank, its that it’s constantly refreshing so it fails to load the resources before it can finish loading. Is the error being thrown every second for you?

For me it just throws the error once before apparently bailing.

Over here on MacOS, it seems that none of the images load and perhaps some fonts are missing. Does SLADE need a web renderer?
